Mary K. Grinde, 84, of Clovis, died Monday, June 20, 2005, at her home.
She was born on April 5, 1921, in Gotebo, Okla., to Ernest J. and Nannie Dee Bland Killough.
She married H.F. “Rip” Grinde on Jan. 19, 1945, in Clovis. She was a legal secretary for Rowley, Davis, and Hammond law firm. Family members said she was a member of Central Christian Church, was involved in numerous bridge clubs, loved golfing and was a wonderful artist.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and a son, Harold Grinde Jr.
Survivors include a son, Dr. Stephen Grinde (and wife, Sandy) of Nashville, Tenn.; a daughter-in-law, Chris Grinde of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a grandson, Marcus Grinde (Monique) of Sammamish, Wash.; a granddaughter, Cheryl Schall (Lance) of Greeley, Colo.; and two great-granddaughters, Lauren Grinde and Ashlyn Schall.
Jon Forrest will officiate the services.
Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Colorado Springs.
Visitation is scheduled from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. tonight at Muffley Funeral Home.
Honorary pallbearers are Jimmy Allison, Dr. Maurice Waters, Harold Widner, Bill Kinyon, George Slaughter A.J. Killough, Morgan T. Jones, and Tony Greget.
Flowers may be sent or memorial contributions may be made to the Christian Children's Home, 1356 Highway 236, Portales, N.M. 88130.
