Mrs. Melba June Hampton, 71, of Texico, died Thursday, June 23, 2005, at her home.
She was born on Dec. 18, 1933, in Portales, to James and Edith White.
She married Von Hampton on Oct. 29, 1950, in Espanola. They moved to Utah where she worked as a homemaker and cashier. She moved back to New Mexico in 1987.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter; five brothers, Junior, Jerry, Kenneth, Glenn, and David White; and three sisters, Faye, Bonnie, and Alice White.
Survivors include four sons, James Hampton of Texico, Greg and Brad Hampton, both of Albuquerque, and Darrell Hampton of Las Vegas, Nev.; a daughter, Teresa Wilcock (and husband, John) of Pioche, Nev.; a daughter-in-law, Christina Hampton of Clovis; three brothers, Leon, Jimmie, and Bobbie White; 14 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
The Rev. Scott Spitsberg will officiate the services.
Burial will be at Texico Cemetery in Texico.
Arrangements are by Steed-Todd Funeral Home of Clovis.
