Mrs. Catalina Martinez, 71, of Texico, died Wednesday, May 18, 2005, at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis.

She was born on Feb. 25, 1934, in Villa de Ramos, San Luis Potosi, Mexico, to Natividad Garcia and Clementa Moncivais.

She married Guadalupe Martinez 52 years ago in Mexico.

Preceded in death by her children, David, Livia, Lupita, Teresa, Josefina, and Joe.

Survivors include her husband; four sons, Romauldo Martinez (and wife, Gloria) and David Martinez, all of El Paso, Texas, Anselmo Martinez of Texico and Jesse Martinez (Pauline) of Portales; four daughters, Teresa Martinez of Texico, Emilia Martinez of Portales, Ysidra Sifuentes (Jesus) of Amarillo and Josefina Martinez of Texico; and eight grandchildren, Carlos, Miguel, and Alicia Martinez, all of Lubbock, Pablo and Daniel Martinez of El Paso, Adriana and Christopher Martinez of Portales, and Jesus Ysidro Sifuentes of Amarillo.

The Rev. Billy Askew will officiate the services.

Burial will be at Texico Cemetery.

Pallbearers are her sons, Romauldo, David and Jesse Martinez, and Jesus Sifuentes, and her grandsons, Carlos and Miguel Martinez.

Arrangements are by Steed-Todd Funeral Home of Clovis.
