Serving Clovis, Portales and the Surrounding Communities
Our Lady of Guadalupe Church will sponsor a summer food service program from May 23 to Aug. 5. Breakfast and lunch will be served at 26 locations in the area for children between the ages of 1 and 18.
Church member Johnny Chavez said the program is a continuation of the school-lunch program.
“We want to make sure each child has at least one nutritious meal a day,” he said.
More than 3,000 children per day were served last year during the program, Chavez said.
