Lyle J. Case, 95, of Thomas, Okla., died Monday, April 25, 2005, at Laurel Ridge Nursing Home in Clovis.
He was born on Nov. 8, 1909, to Timothy and Carson Case in Putnam, Okla.
He was raised in the Putnam area, attending school in Putnam and Vera. Family members said he was married several times but Lois Crispin was the love of his life. He worked for Meadow-Gold in Tulsa, Okla. In 1940 he moved to California and worked for Consolidated Air Craft. In 1942, he joined the Merchant Marines in Richmond, Calif. While in the Marines, he moved to Missouri. He ran a tugboat up and down the Mississippi river. He moved to Fairland, Okla., for seven years and then to Clovis for the last six years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Jeanne, two brothers and one sister.
Survivors include two sons, Bill Case (and wife, Wren) of Clovis, and Bob Case (Mavis) of Claremore, Okla.; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Rev. Richard Pitt will officiate the services.
Arrangements are by Lockstone Funeral Home of Thomas, Okla.
