Serving Clovis, Portales and the Surrounding Communities
State mandated testing has been wrapped up on the campus of Broad Horizons, bringing a sigh of relief to students and staff. This past week was “jam-packed” with review and mid-term exams to close out the grading period. The typical end of nine weeks activities was complicated with class time being cut short by school cancellations due to the latest winter storm.
Students, as always, are excited to be on spring break vacation this week. We look forward to everybody returning March 29 and the progression of the remaining nine weeks of school.
Broad Horizon’s seniors are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel and are motivated to complete the final requirements to obtain their high school diplomas. Seniors who have not yet paid for their caps and gowns need to stop by the office and do so as soon as possible.
Broad Horizon’s leadership service learning class has something to celebrate. They have reached their goal to raise $300 toward “Pennies for Patients,” which supports funds used to help New Mexican cancer victims.
