The Rev. David Crow, 90, of Melrose, died Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2005, at Laurel Plains Healthcare in Clovis.

He was born on Aug. 3, 1914, in Balmorhea, Texas, to W.S. and Annie Myrtle Crow.

He married Maxine Nappier on June 23, 1940. He attended Hardin-Simmons. They moved to New Mexico in 1940. He was an administrator at the Baptist Hospital on Prince Street in Clovis. He was a chaplain in the U. S. Army and after discharge served as a pastor for Baptist churches in Eastern New Mexico and West Texas, from 1940 to 1990.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, W.P., Douglas and Claude Crow; three sisters, Patricia Morris, Jewell Parr, and Kathleen Kountz.

Survivors include his wife; and nieces and nephews.

The Rev. Claude Cone and Rev. Joe Bunce will officiate the services.

Burial will be at Melrose Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Ronny Fouts, Johnny Lay, Paul Matherly, Jim Lay, James Bostwick, Ernest Riley, Wayne Pinnell, and Bill Holloway.

Memorial contributions may be made to Baptist Children’s Home in Portales or First Baptist Church in Melrose.
