ROSWELL — The Clovis softball team remained undefeated by sweeping Goddard in a doubleheader on Saturday.
In the opener, Clovis’ Kalani Falks and freshman Samantha Ramos hit inside-the-park home runs in a 5-0 win.
“We came out and hit the ball. That’s been the story for us,” Clovis coach Brandi Thomas said. “We’re playing really consistent right now.”
The Lady Wildcats (5-0) combined for 30 hits in the two games.
In the 15-2 nightcap win, sophomore Jordan Garrett drove in three runs and Morris had another two RBIs.
Senior pitcher Julie Surina (5-0) didn’t allow an earned run in 14 innings in the two games while forcing Goddard into ground balls and pop flies.
“She let her defense get behind her,” Thomas said.
