The Dora school has a few new students who have enrolled here since the holidays. If the privacy act will permit I will give their names and the grades they are in.
BPA
The Dora chapter of Business Professionals of America participated at regional competitions in Melrose High school on Janu. 29. The following students placed in their competitions: Integrated Office Applications - Lorraine Floyd 1st; Spreadsheet Applications - Cassie Skelley 2nd; Web Site Development Team - Lorraine Floyd and Martha Balbuena - 2nd; Parliamentary Procedure Team - Jennifer Davis, Sara Allison, Ashley Carter, J.R. Gonzales and Cassie Skelley 2nd; Parliamentary Procedure Test - Jennifer Davis 2nd.
Those who qualified will be attending the state leadership conference on March 10-12 in Albuquerque.
Homecoming/class auction
The Junior class will sponsor a cake/pie auction and 50/50 drawing at Dora homecoming on Feb. 18. Bring your money to bid on and buy some goodies. This will be at 4:30 p.m. in the Guy Luscombe Gymnasium. Our opponent will be Floyd. Ceremonies will be at the games and the dance will be from 9 p.m. until midnight in the ag shop.
Schedule
Monday: no school, staff development day and all teams go to Tatum for games at 4:30
Wednesday: BPA will sell Kiss-o-grams starting today until Valentine’s Day
Thursday: ENMU financial aid seminar at 6 p.m. for Sr. and parents in the library.
Friday: Basketball at Fort Sumner, 4 p.m.
Feb. 14: School board meeting, 8 p.m. at auditorium
Feb. 15: Pep rally and all teams play Melrose here at 4 p.m.
