Esmeralda “Esmie” Mount, 66, of Clovis, died Saturday, Jan. 1, 2005, at her home.

She was born on June 18, 1938, in La Loma, to Roman and Lugardita Romero Gonzalez.

She married Michael Mount on June 9, 1967, in Clovis. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Family members said she loved arts, crafts, and reading. She had a beautiful sense of humor, was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt.

Survivors include her husband; five sons, Stephen Gallegos of Seattle, Daniel Gallegos of Layton, Utah, Adam Gallegos (and wife, Patty) of Layton, Scott Mount (Kim) of West Valley, Utah, and Brian Mount (Jane) of Clovis; four sisters, Luisa Martinez (Luis), Magdalena T. Gallegos, and Celina Chavez (Horacio), all of Clovis, and Esperanza Rodriguez (Carlos) of La Plettia, Texas; two brothers, Abenicio Gonzales (Flora) of Texico, and Marcelino Gonzales of Clovis; 14 grandchildren, Brooke Mascarenas, Christopher, Zachary, and Michael Brian Gallegos, Jessica Adair, Brittany Burries, Bailie Phillips, Michael Roger, Kevin, Brandi, Shelby, Jordan, Brianna and Jared Mount; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Sinforosa Sanchez.

A rosary is scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Guadalupe.

Deacon Daniel Chavez and Deacon Manuel Trujillo will officiate the services.

Burial will be at Mission Garden of Memories in Clovis.

Pallbearers are Stephen, Daniel and Adam Gallegos, Scott and Brian Mount, and Randy Lopez.

Memorial contributions maybe made to Our Lady of Guadalupe Building Fund, 108 N. Davis St., Clovis, N.M. 88101.

Honorary pallbearers are Abenicio and Marcelino Gonzales, Horacio Chavez, and Luis Martinez.

Arrangements are by Muffley Funeral Home of Clovis.
