Kraus, Ora

Ora E. Kraus, 80, of Clovis, died Friday, Dec. 24, 2004, at her home in Clovis.

She was born on May 6, 1924, in Tatum to Fred and Ada Blackburn Petty.

She was a resident of Clovis most of her life and graduated from Portales High School. She was co-owner of Clovis Furniture Store. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, family members said. She was a member of Highland Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Sharon Jones; two brothers, Marvin and Pat Petty; and one sister, Velma Beleele.

She is survived by her husband, Don Kraus of the home in Clovis; one step-daughter, Betty Kraus of Ottowa, Kan.; one granddaughter, Joree Walters (and husband, Ron) of Oklahoma City, Okla.; one grandson, Keith Jones (Debbie) of Crecent, Okla.; five great-grandchildren, Aaron Walters, Ryan Walters, Bryan Walters, Lindsey Truelove and Ricky Truelove; one sister, Marjorie Smith of Oklahoma City; several nieces and nephews including David Petty, Margaret Pershall and JoAnne Paul, all of Clovis, and Richard Petty of Alto.

Burial will be at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis.

Arrangements are by Steed-Todd Funeral Home in Clovis.
