Mr. Robert Don (Bob) Starkey, 61, of Mesquite, Texas, died Monday, Dec. 20, 2004, in Terrell, Texas.

He was born on July 24, 1943, in Floydada, Texas, to Robert J. “Bob” and Cleo Davis Starkey.

He moved to Clovis in 1946 and in 1961 graduated from Clovis High School, where he was president of the student council and a member of Key Club. After graduating, he moved to Mesquite, Texas. He was a member of the United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Eula Jeanie Starkey.

Survivors include his wife, Janie B. Starkey of Mesquite; two sons, Robert Edward Starkey (and wife, Missy) of Broken Arrow, Okla., and James Terrell (Kelly) of Georgia; a daughter, Kathy Elaiene Lester (Craig) of Washington; a brother, John Edward “Eddie” Starkey (Vicie) of Clovis; a sister, Nina Kay Allen (Freddie) of Clovis; three nieces of Clovis; and seven grandchildren.

Cremation has taken place.

The family will be at 2009 Sycamore in Mesquite.
