Eastern New Mexico University sophomores Anna Funck and Megan Dozier were first-team selections on the All-Lone Star Conference women’s soccer team, announced by the league office in Richardson, Texas.

Meantime, sophomore forward Jonathan Holman and freshman defenseman Marcus Leyva represented the first-year ENMU men’s squad on the first All-Southwest Soccer Conference squad, both earning honorable mention.

Dozier, a forward, led the Zias (9-9-2, 2-5-2 LSC) in scoring for the second year in a row with 28 points on 10 goals and eight assists. In the program’s two-year history, she has 16 goals and nine assists.

Funck had a strong season in from her midfield position and finished with four goals and four assists for 12 points, sharing second on the team in scoring with junior Karly Parkans. Funck was second to Dozier in scoring on the 2003 squad.

Dozier was a first-team All-LSC selection last season, while Funck was chosen to the second team.

Holman was the leading scorer for the men’s team with 13 points on five goals and three assists, while Leyva helped key a defense which ranked fifth in the eight-team SSC in goals-against average. ENMU (6-12-2, 3-10-1 SSC) held opponents to no more than one goal in 10 of its conference matches, including three shutouts.
