Students from Eastern New Mexico University are obtaining teacher field experience by observing classes at both the elementary and secondary levels. The students rotate through experiences. It is usually the students’ first experiences in a school setting. The classroom serves as an introduction to the study and practices of teaching.
Funding available
Elida Elementary School has been awarded $560,000 for a multi-purpose room and for roofing.
Community center
Quentin Griffin and Tyler Anderson went to Elida Town Hall to see the Mayor of Elida, who is Gerald Lee, about a community center. The community center in Elida is an empty building that Elida is wanting to turn into some kind of fun center for the whole community.
