Ruben Michael Anaya, 50, of Clovis, died Sunday, Sept. 19, 2004, in Los Lunas.
He was born on May 19, 1954, in Clovis, to Gilbert I. and Virginia Salas Anaya.
He was a lifetime resident of Clovis and was a self-employed air conditioning and heating repairman. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe church. Family members said he enjoyed teaching the word of God and devoted his life to God in his final years.
He was preceded in death by his mother; and the mother of his children, Dolores Ortega.
Survivors include his father, Gilbert Anaya of Clovis; a son, Ruben Lopez of West Memphis, Ark.; a daughter, Renee Lopez of Albuquerque; five brothers, Victor Anaya (and wife, Lisa) of Albuquerque, Mario Anaya of Denver and Gilbert Anaya Jr., Gregory Anaya and Timothy Anaya, all of Clovis; three sisters, Wanda Pinckney of Montclair, N.J., Yolanda Lopez (Ernie) of Roswell and Lisa Anaya of Clovis; three grandchildren; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Father Sotero Sena will officiate the services.
Burial will be at the Mission Garden of Memories in Clovis.
Pallbearers are his brothers and brother-in-law.
Arrangements are by Muffley Funeral Home of Clovis.
