Donald L. Killgore, 82
Donald L. Killgore, 82, of Carlsbad, died Friday, Aug. 20, 2004, at his home.
He was born on Dec. 20, 1921, in Bristo, Okla., to Sylvester and Myrtle Sampson Killgore.
They moved to Elida, when he was a child. He was raised and educated in Elida. He married Ovella Lou Nicholas on May 13, 1944, in Elida. He was employed with Neil Wills and Bob Light for over 50 years as a roustabout and pumper in the oil fields. He retired in 2001. He was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Mary Betty Killgore.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Ronnie Killgore (and wife, Karen) of Carlsbad; a brother, Wayne Killgore of Clovis; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Mike Rogers and grandsons, Jon, Deke and Chase Killgore and Stanley and Charles Hammond.
Visitation is scheduled from 1 p.m. until 9 p.m. today at West Funeral Home in Carlsbad.
Services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday at Hillcrest Baptist Church in Carlsbad. The Rev. John Hinze will officiate the services.
Burial will be at Sunset Gardens Memorial Park in Carlsbad.
