Joe Ines “PePe” Sandoval, 89, of Clovis, died Monday, May 10, 2004, at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis.

He was born on March 12, 1915, in Watrous, to Gabrael Sandoval and Grace Baca.

He married Eloida Marie Saiz on Dec. 23, 1958, in Clovis. He worked for the AT&SF Railroad as a carman and was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Ricky Sandoval; three sisters; and two brothers.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Joe Marez (and wife, Rose) and Freddie Marez (Josie), all of Clovis; a daughter, Dora Gonzales (Albert) of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a brother, Ruben Sandoval of Pueblo, Colo.; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

A rosary is scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Clovis.

Father Sotero Sena will officiate the services.

Burial will be at Mission Garden of Memories in Clovis.

Pallbearers are Eddie and Daniel Marez, Albert Gonzales, Phillip Lopez, Melecio Roybal and Ronnie Romero.

Arrangements are by Muffley Funeral Home of Clovis.
