Boise State University granted a bachelor of arts in elementary education degree to Sharon E. Phillips of Clovis.

South Plains College

South Plains College held its 46th commencement exercises May 14 in the Texan Dome. Local students receiving were:

Clovis: Timii Fulgham, applied rehabilitation psychology with honors, James Heath, associate degree nursing

Portales: Anne Luna, associate of applied arts degree in commercial music with highest honors.

Tucumcari: David Morris, associate of applied arts degree in commercial music.
