Mr. Joe Eylicio, 77, of Clovis, died Wednesday, April 21, 2004, at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis.

He was born on July 10, 1926, in San Juan, to Manuel and Leonor Tarin Eylicio.

He served in the U. S. Army. He was a member of the American Legion and Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. He had worked at Lawn Haven/Mission Gardens as a sexton.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Leo Gallegos; a grandson, Timothy Labbie; and a brother-in-law, Clemente Gallegos.

Survivors include his wife, Nora Eylicio; a sister, Celsa Gallegos of Espanola; two sons, Herman Eylicio of Clovis and Manuel Eylicio of Albuquerque; four daughters, Lorine Gallegos of Clovis, Lydia Carrea of Texico, Lita Gooddall of North Pole, Alaska and Mary Lou Murphy of Snellville, Ga.; 14 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Father Sotero Sena will officiate the services.

Burial will be at Mission Garden of Memories in Clovis.

Pallbearers are Sonny, Rodrick, Herman and Nando Rodriguez and Chris and Joey Gallegos.

Honorary pallbearers are Kevin Goodall and Ralph Gallegos.

Arrangements are by Steed-Todd Funeral Home of Clovis.
