Goldie P. Colvin, 83, of Clovis, a ladies wear salesperson, died Tuesday, April 20, 2004, at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis.

She was born on Jan. 25, 1921, in Oilton, Okla.

Her family moved to Clovis in 1935. She married Bill P. Colvin in 1937. For many years she was a sales clerk at Vohs and Jackman’s. Family members said she was an excellent seamstress, loved to quilt, do crafts and spend time with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Lee Conner; her mother, Cressie Hinds; her stepfather, Tom Hinds; her husband, Bill P. Colvin; and two brothers, J.M. Conner and Joe Hinds.

Survivors include two sons, Bill D. Colvin (and wife, Bobbie) of Fredricksburg, Va., and Tom L. Colvin (Bev) of Clovis; a daughter, Sherry K. O’Neal (Bill) of Southport, N.C.; eight grandchildren; a great-grandson; two brothers, Jack and Jim Hinds; and numerous nephews and nieces.

Jon Forrest will officiate the services.

Burial will be at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis.

Pallbearers are Rocky, Sandy, Robert, Micheal Jack and Micheal Joseph Hinds and Carsten Douglas.

Honorary pallbearers are her grandchildren, Jim Crook and Paul Willoughby.

Arrangements are by Steed-Todd Funeral Home of Clovis.
