Cyril Zakowski, 83, of Decatur, Ga., and formerly of Clovis, died Friday, April 2, 2004.
He was born in Pulaski, Wis., and was a veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard. He served in World War II and retired after 20 years of service.
He owned City Electrical and Refrigeration Co. in Clovis, retiring in 1997.
He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth (Watkins) Zakowski of Decatur; daughters Loretta Steurer (and husband Frank) of Buford, Ga., and Paula Rhoades (Kenneth) of Oklahoma City; a son, Albert Zakowski of Santa Clara, Calif .; grandchildren, Lori Parke, of Buford, Julie Steurer of Astoria, N.Y., Bryan Rhoades of Oklahoma City, Brent Rhoades of Oklahoma City; a sister, Julia Posluszny of Sumico, Wis .; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be officiated by the Rev. G. Stephen Wood.
Burial will be in the Santa Fe National Cemetery with military honors.
Arrangements are by Flanigan Funeral Home of Buford.
