Mary L. Kellar Qualls, 83, of Clovis, a homemaker, died Monday, March 22, 2004, at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis.

She was born on March 30, 1920, in Castro County, Texas, to George and Mary Henderson Kellar.

She moved to Clovis in 1943 and worked at Cannon Air Force Base. In 1946 she went to work for Olen Walling Accounting. She married Hubert Qualls on Oct. 18, 1947, in Ranchvale. She was a member of Ranchvale Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Don Lee Qualls; a grandson, Kyle Wood; three brothers; and two sisters.

Survivors include her husband, Hubert Qualls of Clovis; two daughters, Ruth Schell (and husband, Jimmy) of Grady and Beth Hovey (David) of Clovis; a sister-in-law, Ida Kellar of Earth, Texas; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

The Rev. Herbert Bergstrom and Greg Martin will officiate.

Burial will be at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis.

Pallbearers will be Dewayne D. and Jeffery S. and Lashana B. Hovey, Quentin W. and Brian W. Wood and Jamie and Jerome Provencio.

Honorary pallbearer is Albert Martin.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Baptist Children’s Home.
