Gregoria Chavez, 75, of Lubbock died Sunday, March 21, 2004, in Lubbock.

She was born on May 25, 1928 in Slaton, Texas, to Frank and Amalia Molina.

Family members said she was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by two children, Frank and Luis Chavez; and her parents.

Survivors include her husband, Gilbert Chavez; three brothers, Juan Molina (and wife, Julia) and Carlos Molina, all of Clovis, and David Molina of Nogales, Ariz.; a sister, Lucia Garza of Clovis; three daughters, Yolanda Gomes (Larry) of Del Hi, Calif., Laura Brito of Marble Falls, Texas, and Oralia Salinas (Johnny) of Lubbock; a son, Ray Gonzales (Cindy) of Clovis; 17 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

The Rev. Michael O’Dwyer and the Rev. Brendan Walsh will officiate the services.

Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. (CST) today at Resthaven’s Abbey Chapel in Lubbock.

Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park in Lubbock.

Arrangements are by Resthaven Funeral Home of Lubbock.
