Gilbert “Bay” Luna, 56, of Clovis died Sunday, March 7, 2004, at the V.A. Hospital in Albuquerque.

He was born on Sept. 16, 1947, in Mountainair to Miguel and Paublita Luna.

He served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in 1968. He married Ida Tenorio on April 3, 1987, in Farwell. He worked for Newt & Butch construction company as a roofer for 30 years. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Family members said he enjoyed cook-outs.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Benny, Joe and Mike Luna; and a sister, Sheila Armijo.

Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Diana Montoya (and husband, Johnny), Polly Luna and Tammy Luna, all of Clovis, and Fina Luna of Albuquerque; a stepdaughter, Sandra Tenorio of Albuquerque; six stepsons, Daniel Tenorio (Shelly), Antonio Tenorio (Susan), Robert Tenorio, Martin Tenorio (Kim), all of Albuquerque, and Rick Tenorio (Linda) and Louie Tenorio, all of Clovis; four sisters, Viola Luna Montoya and Dolores Armijo, both of Clovis, Ramona Luna of Albuquerque and Lorena Peterson of South Dakota; two brothers, J.O. Luna and Richard Luna, both of Albuquerque; 23 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A rosary is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Friday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Clovis.

The Rev. Sotero Sena will officiate the services.

Burial will be at Mission Garden of Memories in Clovis.

Arrangements are by Muffley Funeral Home of Clovis.
