Party antics end in death

Curry County deputies and the New Mexico State Police responded about 11:30 p.m. Saturday to a shooting incident in a trailer at the 1300 block of County Road 13.

Details were sketchy at press time, but preliminary reports indicated that a young adult male was shot in the head by another person, possibly while engaging in horseplay at a party.

New Mexico State Police confirmed they called for the office of the medical investigator but had no details on the condition of the shooting victim. Further information was not available at press time.
