Mr. Bennie F. Glover, 88, of Clovis, died Sunday, March 21, 2004, at his home in Clovis.

He was born on Dec. 2, 1915, in Nunon, N.D., to Jack and Allie Duncan Glover.

He grew up in Littlefield, Texas. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He moved to Clovis after getting out of the service. He married Stacie Johnson on May 24, 1950, in Albuquerque. In Clovis, he owned and operated Glover’s Conoco and another service station. He was a member of 16th and Pile Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; and three brothers.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Jack Glover (and wife, Jan) of Muleshoe; a daughter, Brenda Glover of Muleshoe; a granddaughter, Kimberly Chance of Brenham, Texas; a grandson, Shane Glover of Big Springs, Texas; four great-granddaughters; a great-grandson; a sister, Pat Smith (Foye) of Canyon, Texas; two brothers, Boyd Glover (Wilma) of Canyon, Texas and Raymond Glover (Jeanene) of Salem, Ore.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jim Gammon will officiate the services.

Burial will be at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis.

Honorary pallbearers are his friends and neighbors.

Memorial contributions may be made to the 16th and Pile Church of Christ.

Arrangements are by Steed-Todd Funeral Home of Clovis.
