Leonard Fenton, 78

Leonard Fenton, 78, died Saturday, March 13, 2004, at Covenant Lakeside Medical Center in Lubbock.

Services will be officiated by the Rev. Jim Maxwell at Trinity Life Center, formerly the First Assembly of God Church.

Burial will be in Portales Cemetery.

Arrangements are by Wheeler Mortuary of Portales.

Services are at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Trinity Life Center in Portales.

Blonnie C. Rea, 82

Blonnie C. Rea, 82, of Portales died Thursday, March 11, 2004, in Lubbock.

He was born Aug. 26, 1921, in Floyd to Adah and Melvin H. Rea.

He grew up in Floyd, graduated in the class of 1940, and played center on the state championship basketball team.

He married Mary Evelyn Sain on Dec. 12, 1941, in Portales. After her death on April 4, 1971, he married June Killion on May 30, 1976.

He farmed and ranched in the Bethel, Floyd and Portales area, and raised Appaloosas. He was a county commissioner, served on the Rural Electrical Administration board and other boards, and was a member of Central Christian Church.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Lloyd Rea, 12; three sisters, Grace Pierce, Jewel Terry and Lilly Martin; and his first wife.

Survivors include his wife June, of the home; a son Linton (and wife Ferne) Rea, of Colorado Springs; two stepsons, Weldon Killion of Fresno, Calif., and Wayne Killion of Portales; two stepdaughters, Gaylie Killion of Oklahoma City and Paula Killion of Midland; two grandchildren, Lyndy (Marlon) DeCastro of Phoenix and Kara Rea of Mission Hills, Calif.; three great-grandchildren, Shira, Sasha and Levi; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Reesy Rea of Eureka, Mont., and his twin brother, Lonnie Rea of Plainview, Neb.

Services will be officiated by Kenneth Broad and David Bennett.

Burial will be at Portales Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Gresham, Wayne Killion, Dick Hood, Mike Urton, Cody Killion and Jim Good.

Honorary pallbearers are C.N. Charlie Anderson, Leonard Bryant, Polk Clark, Glenn Widener, J.T. Toombs, T.Z. Duncan and Farrell Odom.

Arrangements are by Wheeler Mortuary of Portales.

Services are at 2 p.m. Monday at Wheeler Mortuary Chapel in Portales.

Theda Sharp, 84

Theda Sharp, 84, died Friday, March 12, 2004, at Hereford Regional Medical Center in Hereford.

She was born Jan. 7, 1920, in Texico, to Robert and Cora Allen Williams.

She married Lloyd Sharp Dec. 7, 1935, in Portales.

She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Hereford.

She was preceded in death by her husband, who died Nov. 14, 1987.

Survivors include two sons, Phillip (and wife Gene) Sharp of Lakewood, Leslie (Wilma) Sharp of Tomball, Texas; a brother, Douglas (Midge) Williams of Las Cruces; two sisters, Lena (Marvin) Bell of Clovis, and Bobbie (Jack) Davis of Roswell; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Services will be officiated by the Rev. Terry Cosby, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Hereford.

Burial will be in West Park Cemetery.

Arrangements were made by Gililland-Watson Funeral Home of Hereford.

Services are at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Rose Chapel, Hereford, Texas.
