After a number of residents in off-base military housing reported their porch lights had been broken, police received a tip about 11 p.m. Wednesday that those responsible were living on the 4300 block of Lew Wallace.

An adult living at that address said his family had been having problems with his daughter’s ex-boyfriend but hadn’t seen him recently. Later that night, police received further reports of broken lights and found a globe light placed behind a vehicle tire so it would be crushed and puncture the tire when the vehicle backed up.

Sheriff’s deputies in the area also found an 18-year-old man walking between buildings who appeared to be much more wet that he would have been if he had been out in the rain for a brief period. Deputies released him for lack of evidence, but later found residents who gave a description of a person breaking lights that matched his appearance.
