Local entertainment store hosts feline sanctuary

Sundance Ranch Feline Sanctuary is a non-profit sanctuary for abused, abandoned and neglected cats in Curry County.

The ranch also arranges adoptions for as many of its feline citizens as it can, said Doug Johnson, head human at the ranch.

Johnson said the cats really run the place, but ranch representatives will promote the sanctuary from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at Hasting’s, 2121 N. Prince.

Coupons for cat food and free samples of cat food will be given away. And Johnson said there will be a drawing for prizes and T-shirts.

Donations to Sundance Ranch are being divided between the ranch’s medical fund — used to treat sick or injured cats — and a building fund, Johnson said.
