Yolanda D. Lamer, 44, a resident of Bedford, Mass., died Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2003, at her home with her family.
She was born in Portales on May 24, 1959.
Survivors include Master Sgt. Charles E. Lamer; her parents, Magin and Margie Gutierrez of Portales; brothers, Leroy (and wife Frances), Herman (Elsa) and Ray (Veronica), all of Portales; Charles Lamer Sr. (Karen), Mother, Sandra Lamer, Robert (Enith), Derek (Deborah), Aunt Carol Caims and six nieces, all from the New Jersey area.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Jose Tomas and LaLa Montano and Matis and Juanita Gutierrez.
Many loving and caring aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and many, many church members.
A family member said she was a wonderful, loving wife and person, and enjoyed traveling with her husband and the world. She worked at many schools in Portales, England, Florida and Albuquerque. She loved children, shopping, going to church, eating chili and spending quality time with her family.
A evening service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday in the Chapel of Garcia Mortuary in Albuquerque.
Interment will be at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith Blvd. N.E. in Albuquerque.
Pallbearers will be Derek Lamer, Robert Lamer, Mike Montano, Anthony Larranga, Leroy Jr. and Rodney.
Honorary pallbearers are all her family members, friends and church members.
