Paul Lesher, 77, of Logan, died Monday, Dec. 29, 2003, in Albuquerque.

He was born on July 10, 1926, to George and Minnie Lesher.

He moved to Albuquerque in the early 1960s, where he had a heating and refrigeration business for many years. In 1975, he moved to Clovis and taught a refrigeration and heating class at Eastern New Mexico University. Later he established his own heating and refrigeration business. He built a house boat by hand and loved to fish, eventually retiring at Logan and living on the lake in his house boat in the early 1990s. He was a World War II veteran and a member of the American Legion and VFW in both Clovis and Logan.

Survivors include a daughter, Paula Lesher Whisenhunt (and husband, John) of Albuquerque; a grandson, Jacob Whisenhunt; five brothers and sisters: Alma Gravens (Clair) of Ponca City, Okla., Grace Miller of Chattanooga, Tenn., Oscar Lesher (Frances) of Crescent, Okla., Lloyd Lesher (Norma) of Petit Bay, Okla., and Naomi Whitaker (Melvin) of Clinton, Okla.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion Post 77 in Logan.

Mr. Lesher donated his body to the University of New Mexico School of Medicine in Albuquerque.
