Martin Dean Oyer, 54, of Clovis, died Saturday, Dec. 27, 2003, at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis.

He was born on March 2, 1949, in Concord, Calif., to Dean and Audrey Asmussen Oyer.

He served in the U.S. Navy and worked in construction, mostly in remodeling. He came to Clovis in 1973. He was working part-time at Guadalajara restaurant. He was an active artist mostly in native art work.

He was preceded in death by a brother, George Oyer.

Survivors include a daughter, Rachel Salamone (and husband, Joseph) of Hudson, N.H.; two sons, Ethan Oyer of Boston; and Trevor Oyer of Sequim, Wash.; his parents of Sun City, Ariz.; and a close companion, Julia McGown of Clovis.

Father Sotero Sena will officiate the services.

Cremation has taken place.

Arrangements are by Muffley Funeral Home of Clovis.
