Student profile: Brian Mead

Brian Mead, the son of John and Carolyn Mead, is in the ninth grade at Yucca Junior High School.

What is your idea of a perfect day? Not too warm and not too cold, not windy, and going out to eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner and finding $1,000,000 in the street.

What is so great about your favorite sport? Playing football is a different feeling. Being able to hit people without getting hurt or getting in trouble. But when you’re out there you don’t feel anything. The next day is when it hurts.

What do you envision your life being like in 10 years? I see myself living in my own house and playing in the NFL.

What is your greatest individual accomplishment? Receiving the best running back award three times in a row out of 50 other people each year.

What is your most prized possession? My Playstation 2, without it I would probably sleep when I don’t have anything to do, which is most of the time.

honors received: Excellence awards in science and English. Best Running Back and consecutive years at Jay Novececk Football Camp, National Fitness Award.

School activities: Honor Society, ninth grade football, 3.7 GPA.

Church/community activities: Reach for tomorrow program, member of St. Francis of Assisi parish.

Hobbies: Break dancing, video games, jumping on my trampoline.

Future plans: Attend a four year college, play pro football, and become a pro break dancer.
