Dunn-Slough, Ruby

Ruby Neville Dunn-Slough, 84, of Clovis died Thursday, Dec. 25, 2003, at Plains Regional Medical Center.

She was born on March 10, 1919 in Lakeview, Texas, to Emmitt and Lillie Mae Crabb Harper. She married Troy Dunn in Memphis, Texas, and he preceded her in death in 1949. She then married Robert Edward Slough in Memphis on June 12, 1954. He preceded her in death on Dec. 26, 1985.

She was a retired surgical Nurse at the Hall County Hospital and loved to sew and quilt, according to a family member. She came to Clovis in 1998 from Memphis, and was a member of Sandia Baptist Church in Clovis.

Survivors include her son, Jimmy (and wife Shirley) Dunn of Clovis; three grandchildren and their husbands, Melissa and Jeff Moore of Clovis, Melinda and Keith Shaw of Melrose, and Melanie and John Stokes of Clovis; 10 great-grandchildren, Jimmy Jameson, Clinton Moore, Jordan Moore, James Bray, Kendall Mudgett, Kelvin Stokes, Conlea Moore, Sara Shaw, Heather Shaw and Annie Shaw; and a great-great-grandson, Dawson Chavez.

Tom Posey will officiate at the service.

Jeff Moore, John Stokes, Keith Shaw, Jimmy Jameson, Clinton Moore, Jordan Moore, James Bray, Kendall Mudgett and Kelvin Stokes will serve as pallbearers.
