Mary Ruth Bishop, 76, of Tucumcari, died Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2003.

She was born in 1927 in McNairy County, Tenn.

Survivors include a daughter, Debra Cotham of Artesia; three sons, Ronald Bishop of Anchorage, Alaska, David Bishop of Ruidoso and Timothy Bishop of Tucumcari; five sisters, Louise Bishop and Maggie Webb, both of Kalamazoo, Mich., and Jo Rickman, Linda Hurley and Sue Pickins, all of Selmer, Tenn.; six brothers, Dubert Comer and Lee Comer, both Selmer, Tenn., Bill Comer of Michie, Tenn, George Comer of Guys, Tenn., Charles Comer of Corinth, Miss. and Harold comer of Adamsville, Tenn.; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Burial was at Tucumcari Memorial Park cemetery.

The Rev. David England officiated the services.

Arrangements were by Dunn Funeral Home of Tucumcari.
