Mr. Mark Wayne Butler, 17, of Ruidoso, Sunday, Dec. 14, 2003, at his home.

He was born on May 4, 1986, in Clovis.

He lived in Clovis until age 13, when he moved to Ruidoso. He was a student at Ruidoso High School. He had been a member of the Junior Volunteer Fire Department.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Carey Wren Butler and Tammie Butler.

Survivors include his father and stepmother, Robert and Sharon Butler of the home in Ruidoso; his mother and stepfather, Vyneta and Robert Smith of Salisaw, Okla.; two brothers, Rhett Butler of Odessa, Texas, and Tyler Butler of the home in Ruidoso; a sister, Tera Fae Wong of Cannon Air Force Base; and a grandmother, Delores Davis of Fort Smith, Ark.

Burial will be at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis.

Arrangements are by Steed-Todd Funeral Home of Clovis.
