Jeffery Scott Wagley, 41, of Melrose, a farmer/rancher, died Nov. 18, 2003, at his home.

He was born on Sept. 26, 1962, in Clovis to C.C. and Lyneva Bryan Wagley.

He graduated from Melrose High School in 1980 and attended Eastern New Mexico University. He married Debra Womack on May 21, 1983, in Capitan. He was a member of Forrest Community Church and the Forrest Fire Department. He was a Quay and Curry County 4H Leader.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Justin Layne Wagley.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Stefan Wagley; two daughters, Alisha Wagley and Kelley Wagley, both of the home; three brothers, James Wagley (and wife, Billie) and Charles “Buzz” Wagley, all of Forrest, and John Wagley (Bobbie) of Littlefield, Texas; a sister, Carlin Gates (Don) of Whiteface, Texas; five nieces; and two nephews.

The Rev. Randy Billingsley and the Rev. Roy Todd were to officiate the services.

Burial was at Beevers Cemetery in Forrest.
