Aaron C. Perone, 29, died Saturday, Nov. 8, 2003, in a Lubbock hospital.

Mr. Perone was born May 21, 1974, at Grand Forks Air Force Base in North Dakota.

He spent a large portion of his youth in Oklahoma City, Okla., graduating from Edmond High School.

After high school he worked for a fuels company in Oklahoma City and joined the Army Reserves. Having some degree of familiarity with the military, coupled with a strong influence from his father, Mr. Perone joined the United States Air Force in August of 1995.

He was stationed at Cannon Air Force Base until he was medically discharged on Nov. 1.

Family members said he served his God and country with dedication and distinction, earning him the respect and admiration from his peers. The highlight of his Air Force career was his deployment to the recent war in Iraq. He enjoyed working on computers, collecting oriental items and beer steins.

Survivors include his parents, Art and Sandra Perone of North Richland Hills and Betty Perone of Tulsa, Okla.; step aunt and uncle Eddie and Rosemary Sams of Haltom City, Texas; uncle Albert Magnuson of Minneapolis; and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Shannon Rufe Snow Funeral Chapel in Fort Worth, Texas.

Burial will follow services at Medlin Cemetery in Trophy Club, Texas.

Arrangements are by Shannon Rufe Snow Funeral Chapel.
