Dale B. Sutton, 77, of Logan, died Thursday, Oct. 9, 2003, at his home.

He was born on Aug. 20, 1926, in Clovis, to Ralph and Iva Brocharo Sutton.

He attended schools in Wheatland and Tucumcari. He graduated from high school in Helena, Mont. He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II and the Korean conflict. He was one of the original volunteers who established and operated the St. Mary’s Food Bank in Phoenix.

Survivors include his wife, Jeannette Sutton of Logan; two daughters, Sherri of Altadona, Calif., and Sandi of Seeley Lake, Mont.; a son, Scott of Helena, Mont.; a stepson, Dale Van Duson of Phoenix; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Floy Slusher of Albuquerque and Shirley Ragan of Moses Lake, Wash.; and a sister-in-law, Kathleen Sutton of Redding, Calif.

Cremation has taken place.

Burial will be at Wheatland Cemetery.

Arrangements are by Dunn Funeral Home of Tucumcari.
