Samplings of recent calls received by Clovis-area law enforcement officers, according to reports:

About 8 p.m. Thursday, police responded to the 2000 block of Chaparral regarding a stolen firearm.

The owner said she found a lock box open in her home on the coffee table with a semi-automatic pistol missing. She said she does not know who would have taken the gun.

A crash shortly before 3 p.m. Friday on the corner of County Road T and County Road 7 sent a 27-year-old woman to Plains Regional Medical Center in critical condition.

Sheriff’s deputies said the woman was driving a 1990 Mercury westbound on CR7 when she collided with a pickup truck driven by a 73-year-old man.

The man was transported to Plains Regional Medical Center by private vehicle. The woman was transported by ambulance.

Clovis police responded about midnight Friday to the 3800 block of Lew Wallace Drive regarding a noise complaint. Two police officers found seven people in an outside hot tub who denied making significant noise. Two males, later identified as the residents of the home, demanded to know the legal decibel level to justify noise complaints and demanded to get the officer’s first names.

The officers refused to give their first names, said the disorderly conduct statute was invoked because the neighbors has been disturbed in the home by the loud noise and arrested the two men who identified themselves as being responsible for the house. The rest were ordered to leave the area.

About 2 a.m. Saturday, police noticed a Ford F-150 pickup northbound on North Prince Street near the intersection of Commerce Way. Due to erratic driving, officers stopped the pickup and administered field sobriety tests to a 34-year-old female driver, which she failed.

Officers then arrested her for driving while intoxicated.

Police responded about 3 p.m. Saturday to Plains Regional Medical Center regarding a man who had been brought to the hospital with a gunshot wound.

Officers were unable to obtain accurate information on the situation but determined that a man brought into the emergency room later that evening was the suspect in the shooting incident.

A staff member of the Clovis school district reported $1,300 damage to his car from a “keying” incident in the high school parking lot.

The vehicle had been damaged from bumper to bumper.
