Mr. Jesse Brizendine, 90, of Clovis, died Oct. 27, 2003, at All Care Assisted Living in Clovis.

He was born on June 23, 1913, in Clovis, to Barnie and Eula Edwards Brizendine. He was raised and married in Clovis before moving west to Phoenix, Los Angeles, and Bakersfield, Calif., but moved back to Clovis many years ago to care for his blind brother Edward. He was a retired auto parts and tools worker and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Edward and Milton Brizendine; and a sister, Pauline Brizendine-Burns.

Survivors include a son, George (and wife, Annette) Brizendine of Las Vegas, Nev.; a step-sister, Ruth Owens of Long Beach, Calif.; two grandchildren, Kevin Brizendine of Reno, Nev., and Della Monagle of Franklin City, N.J.; and three great-grandsons, Richard, Paul and Jeffery Brizendine of Reno.

The service will be officiated by Rev. Rick Jones. Burial will be in Mission Garden of Memories.
