Pizza driver told to stand and deliver

Clovis police are looking for a knife-wielding robber who stole an undetermined amount of money from a pizza delivery man Wednesday evening.

According to Lt. M.J. Ingram, the delivery man was stopped at a yield sign at the corner of Tierra Blanca and Las Palomas roads about 7:30 p.m. when a man walked up to his car, pulled open the door, and told the driver to give him all his money.

“He brandished a knife; we don’t know for sure what kind of knife,” Ingram said. “We’re looking for him now, haven’t located him yet.”

Ingram said police don’t have enough information yet to determine whether the robbery is related to other recent robberies.

The victim described the robber as a Hispanic male with a full goatee and slicked-back hair, about 6-feet-1-inch tall, weighing 130 to 140 pounds, and wearing a FUBU shirt. The robber fled from the scene on foot after the incident.
