Mrs. Carmen Vasquez, 61, of Clovis, a homemaker, died Friday, Aug. 29, 2003, at her home.

She was born on March 14, 1942, in Brownsville, Texas, to Eusebio and Aleja Rodriguez Torres.

She married Ben Vasquez on Sept. 10, 1959, in Clovis. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband.

She is survived by two sons, Victor Vasquez and Ben Vasquez Jr., both of Clovis; four daughters, Blanca Cuellar of Austin, Texas, Dolores Candelaria of Oceanside, Calif., Angie Rodriguez and Carmen Vasquez, both of Clovis; two stepsons, Oscar Vasquez of Utah and Richard Vasquez of Monterrey, Mexico; three stepdaughters, Mercedes Guzman, Imelda Guzman and Patricia Vasquez, all of Monterrey, Mexico; four brothers, Jesus and Jose Torres, both of Saltillio, Mexico, Pablo Torres of Monterrey, Mexico and Eusebio Torres of Morellia, Mexico; 21 grandchildren; and a great-grandson.

Father Sotero Sena will officiate the services.

A rosary is scheduled for 7 p.m. today at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Clovis.

Burial will be at Mission Garden of Memories in Clovis.

Pallbearers will be Victor Vasquez, Victor Vasquez Jr. and Ben Vasquez Jr., Ray Rodriguez, Anthony Candelaria, Ralph Cuellar, Miguel Buenrostro and Jesus Trujillo.

Arrangements are by Steed-Todd Funeral Home in Clovis.
