Mr. Billy Gene Ohlsson, 72, of Clovis, an electrician, died Thursday, Aug. 21, 2003, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.

He was born on Nov. 2, 1930, in Osage City, Kan., to George and Mabel Adolphson Ohlsson.

He joined the Air Force in 1948 where he served seven years at Sherman Field, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, Clark Field, Philippine Island and St. Lawrence Island, Alaska. He was an electrician by trade and worked for Civil Service at Fort Leavenworth, Kan. in 1955 and later at Cannon Air Force Base where he worked until he retired in 1980. He married Barbara Jones on June 28, 1952, in Leavenworth, Kan.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepfather, Clyde Newkirk; a twin brother, Bobby Dean Ohlsson; and an infant son, Richard Lee Ohlsson.

He is survived by his wife; a son, Robert Ohlsson (and wife, Debbie) of Lubbock; a daughter, Linda Beevers (Randy) of Clovis; a brother, George E. Ohlsson (Helen) of Topeka, Kan .; two sisters, Rosalie Amis and Nancy Liskey (Craig), both of Topeka, Kan .; four grandchildren, Jeremiah and Jennifer Ohlsson, both of Lubbock and Christie Reid (Michael) and Jeremy Beevers, both of Clovis; a great-grandchild, Austin Reid of Clovis.

The Rev. Jon Forrest will officiate the services.

Masonic Services will be conducted by Clovis Masonic Lodge No. 40 AF&AM. Military honors will be conducted by Cannon Air Force Base Honor Guard.

Burial will be at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis.

Pallbearers will be Harold Wyman, Wayne Russell, Fred Dixon, Lee Roach, J.E. “Si” Williams Jr. and Larry Taliaferro.
