Mrs. Tura Ola Chenault, 88, of Clovis, a homemaker and cafeteria worker, died Sunday, Aug. 17, 2003, at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis.

She was born on Dec. 5, 1914, in Richland, to Silas Franklin and Ida Dove Thompson Beeman.

She was a member of 16th and Pile Church of Christ for 47 years. Family members said she enjoyed playing 42 with Christian friends and doing needlework.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, J. B. Chenault; five brothers; three sisters; and a granddaughter, Debbie Chenault Wilson.

She is survived by a sister, Tess Smith; a son, Wayne Chenault (and wife, Wanda)of Elida; two daughters, Myrl Davis (and husband, Bob) of Clovis and Sylvia Pape (Jack) of Colorado Springs, Colo.; three sisters-in-law; grandchildren, Dwayne, Darwin and Darrell Chenault, Steve, Curtis and Brent Davis, Darla Reed, Arnise Lance Pape, Jill Webb and Robyn Barrett; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Jim Gammon, assisted by Bob Hawkins, will officiate the services.

Burial will be at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis.

Pallbearers will be Dwayne, Darwin and Darrell Chenault, Curtis, Steve and Brent Davis, Lance and Arnise Pape, Grant Wilson, Kenny Reed, Faron Webb and Bryan Barrett.

Honorary pallbearers will be Virgil Helker, Cecil Bunch, Bob Norris, Curtis Tabor, Kenneth Jones, Joe Hamilton, Doug Williams, Sarge Faulkenburry, Billy McCasland and Foy Bailey.

Arrangements are by Steed-Todd Funeral Home of Clovis.
