Mrs. Cleo W. Boren, 85, of Clovis, a clerk, died Saturday, Aug. 2, 2003, at Retirement Ranch in Clovis.

She was born April 2, 1918, in Childress, Texas, to John E. and Eva Gibbs Williams.

She married James H. Boren May 12, 1939 in Fort Sumner. She had been a resident of Clovis since 1964. She worked for Medical Center Pharmacy and at Hotel Clovis. Family members said she loved traveling, playing cards, camping and dancing.

Survivors include two daughters, Anita Hurn and Janis Dawson, both of Clovis; a sister, Oleta Richburg of Clovis; a brother, John Williams of Clovis; six grandchildren, Cara Benson, Frank Benson, Kelly Flowers, Jerry Hurn, Lisa Miller and Richard Boone; and 6 great-grandchildren.

The family will be at 1320 Sheldon.

Cremation has taken place

Steed-Todd Funeral Home of Clovis is handling arrangements.
