Police blotter 9/17

Samplings of recent calls received by Clovis-area law enforcement officers, according to reports:

During a Friday afternoon traffic stop at Martin Luther King Boulevard and Aspen Street, a Clovis police officer called dispatch reporting a 23-year-old male driver was giving a name he believed to be false. The officer reported he thought he remembered seeing the driver on a previous instance with a different name.

After an extensive records check matching the driver’s tattoos with others on file, the driver said he had concealed his identity because he had outstanding warrants in Lea County. Police took him into custody on charges of concealing identity from a police officer.
