Mr. Donald Ray Gibbs, 65, of Clovis, a brand inspector, died Friday, Sept. 12, 2003, in Clovis.

He was born on March 5, 1938, in Littlefield, Texas, to Alvis Craven and Ora Bell Estill Gibbs. He married Jackie Shelton on Nov. 15, 1957. Family members said he loved his family and the outdoors. He retired from the New Mexico Livestock Board as a brand inspector after 28 years.

Mr. Gibbs was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Kirk Gibbs.

Survivors include his wife, Jackie of Clovis; three sons, Randy (and wife Cheryl) Gibbs of Salt Lake City, Utah, Duke Gibbs and Jonathan Ingram, both of Clovis; two daughters, Donna (and husband Phillip) Hogan and LaRonda Ciciarelli, all of Clovis; two brothers, A.J. Gibbs of Corona and Archie Gibbs of Clovis; one sister, El Juena Jacquez of Clovis; five grandchildren, Jared (and wife Trish) Gibbs and Jory Gibbs of Salt Lake City, William “Bill” Wanzor and Brian Wanzor, both of the U.S. Navy, and Koleby Hogan of Clovis; and three great-grandchildren.

The Rev. Dean Turvaville will officiate during the memorial services.

Cremation will take place.

Arrangements are by Steed-Todd Funeral Home of Clovis.
