Mr. Filimino Lemanua Teofilo, 88, of Clovis, a retired carpenter, died Monday, June 16, 2003, at his home.

He was born on Sept. 6, 1914, in Leone, American Samoa, to Iuli and Lucia Teofilo.

He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Faalologogo Sapau Teofilo in 1997.

Survivors include two sons, Pale (and wife, Oliana) Lemanua of Leavenworth, Kan., and Laauli (and wife, Pita) Teofilo of Carson, Calif.; four daughters, Ana Hicks of American Samoa, Christina (and husband, Luamata) Faiai of Clovis, Logo Filloon of Las Vegas, Nev., and Afatia (and husband, Fetapai “Cap”) Leota of Clovis; 15 grandchildren, Jake Teofilo Leota, Lopali, Filimino and Francis Hicks, Joseph Josh and Aisi Faiai, Tita, Marina and LeMapu Lemanua, Joe, Kristina, John and Laauli Teofilo, Tia Filloon and Eme Faumunia; and nine great-grandchildren.

The Rev. Carlos Chavez will officiate the services.

Burial will follow at Mission Garden of Memories in Clovis.

Pallbearers will be Pale Lemanua, Fetapai Leota, Laauli Teofilo, Luamata P. Faiai Jr., Inosia Poyer and Jacob Leota Teofilo.

Arrangements are by Steed-Todd Funeral Home of Clovis.
