Mrs. Frances Ann Reynolds, 83, of Amarillo, died Friday, June 20, 2003, in Amarillo. She was born in 1919, and she moved to Clovis in 1939 after graduating from Hereford High School. She met her husband, Jim, in Clovis and they married in 1943.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Clovis for 50 years before moving to Amarillo, where she was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church.
While living in Clovis, Mrs. Reynolds donated her time to Senior Meals as the volunteer coordinator. She served as chairman of the Home and School Association and served on the Sacred Heart School Board.
She was chaplain of the VFW Auxiliary Post 3280 and drove the school bus for Sacred Heart School. Family members describe her as a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and an avid baseball fan and bowler.
Survivors include three daughters, Mary Miller of Ontario, Calif., Francelle Reynolds of Puyallup, Wash., and Annette Mitchell of Amarillo; six sons, James Jr. of Cedar Crest, Edward of Santa Fe, Michael of Ruidoso, A.J. of Corpus Christi, Texas, Mark of Sandia Park and Anthony of Kansas City, Mo.; four sisters, Ursula Borer of Toledo, Ohio, Rita Howerton of San Leandro, Calif., Elizabeth White of Dalhart, Texas, and Sister Loretta Bezner of Long Beach Long Island, N.Y.; two brothers, Alban Bezner of Dalhart, Texas, and Lou Bezner of Amarillo; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Monsignor Joseph Tash will officiate the services.
Burial will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
